A very tender time...

We are naturally motivated to be in relationship with everything around us; with our human connections, with our work, with our home, with our things, with our devotions, with our own human bodies.

One day we may have a profound insight into ourselves -an awakening- which may change everything for us. Or it may gradual. It may leave us wanting to retract from our ordinary lives. We may try to return to work, but its just so painful to do so. The only solace is our little house, and perhaps our loving partners. We may show up to our relations and find ourselves saying, "Something's not right here. Why is everything that I love becoming so painful!" and "Why is it so tiring to spend time with other people?" We feel the need to change ever more desperately as time passes.

Yet, our daily rituals seem to repeat. We are tasked with our day-to-day responsibilities. We must earn our income, but our old patterns continue, and they create an uncomfortable existence.

Eventually we've realized that we've lost touch with our natural rhythms, and of being with ourselves in a Spiritually
healthy way. We lost touch with our innate capacity to be gentle and to be naturally confident and happy...

The land itself, the earth, believe it or not, provides a map to our re-connection and we can follow her to discover what we would like to become. She is there, waiting for anyone willing to receive her. Let her deepen your awakening into to our own spirit of being alive, and together arrive to more peace, love, joy, and purpose. Whatever these mean for you!

The Nature Connection principles that inform my aspirations, which I offer to my own clients, are based off of the 8 Shields Framework created by Jon Young. He was inspired since childhood, and by his many mentors, to discover what creates Relationship. He collected time-tested wisdom from our ancestors in order to pass it on to the next generations. I aim to do the same by incorporating these tools into a coaching package. By tapping into the fountain of wellbeing, of resource and regulation offered by the land, a client's coaching process can be accelerated and can benefit the person far beyond the coaching session.

About me...

I grew up moving around every few years. Later in adulthood I still enjoyed travelling. However, throughout my life I felt that there was something missing. It was a subtle feeling to which I had no ability to describe until I reached my mid-thirties. One day at the beach the feeling lifted, and it was instead replaced by another feeling I had not felt in decades. It was the feeling of being Home.

At first I wondered, what it was about this place, or what I am doing that there that was creating that. This experience was paired with a feeling of intimacy and affection, and it was so wonderful and so touching to me, that ever since then I decided I would put my efforts into discovering what made that possible.

Years later I discovered that what made those feelings possible was that I had formed an intimate relationship with that particular place at the beach. My relationship with that land later formed a blueprint which informed how I was to approach all of my other relationships. I began to form deeper more intimate connections with all of my other relationships too. Now everyday I get to experience this sweet feeling of being home no matter where I am in the world. and I'm very grateful for that.

I want to let the world know that this deep sense of connection is right there underneath their noses. Everything begins at the Sit Spot.
